Harvest Festival

Although it will be a little different this year we are looking forward to celebrating Harvest Festival on Friday. We will begin the day with a Harvest service led by Year 3 and 4 in school, which the school will be part of via Zoom.

It is more important than ever this year that we do what we can to support families in our local community and around the world, therefore we will also, once again, be supporting both CAFOD and our local Bognor Regis Foodbank.

CAFOD’s Coronavirus Appeal at Harvest

This year CAFOD are raising money to help those in greatest need around the world have access to water, food and adequate healthcare.

£2 can deliver two bars of soap and two facemasks to a vulnerable family

£10 can install a community tippy tap handwashing point in a rural village

£80 can install a permanent handwashing station in a village under lockdown

£200 can deliver a truckload of water to an arid, remote community once a week for proper handwashing and hygiene, reducing travel and the spread of coronavirus.

Bognor Regis Foodbank

Bognor Foodbank is particularly in need of food and funds to support families in our local community at this especially difficult time. St Mary’s families have always been so generous in the past, but due to the risk of infection, we are unable to collect food items this year. Therefore we are asking for a £1 donation please that we can pass on to the food bank.

Please come to school dressed in your own clothes for the day on Friday 9th October and bring a suggested donation of £2 to school for Harvest. We will split this equally (£1 for Bognor Regis Foodbank and £1 for CAFOD).

Thank you all in advance for your support and generosity for both CAFOD and Bognor Regis Foodbank.
