Families & Staff Association

Welcome to St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School Families & Staff Association (referred to as the FSA).

St. Mary’s FSA raises money for the school by organising events throughout the school year including Christmas and Summer Fairs, quiz nights, discos and cake sales to name but a few.  These events raise additional funds for the benefit of every child at St. Mary’s. As soon as your child/children start at St. Mary’s you are automatically a member of the FSA. Extended family members also play a crucial role in the FSA as they are often keen to help out at events, bake cakes, donate raffle prizes etc.  We greatly appreciate the additional support our extended families give so generously.

Please see below for information on committee membership for this academic year.

Meetings are held approximately once a month (sometimes more frequently when a larger event is being organised) and are held at school at 2pm. The meetings are very informal and everyone is welcome. The more the merrier! We are always in need of your help; whether it’s attending the meetings and brainstorming ideas, baking cakes, setting up events, running a stall, selling raffle tickets or perhaps even taking on a key role on the FSA Committee.

Follow the FSA on facebook for news and up to date info.

The key to the FSA’s continued success is YOU!

We need your enthusiasm and support in helping to ensure the fundraising events are fun for the children (and grown ups) as well as raising much needed additional funds for St Mary’s.

We look forward to seeing you at an FSA meeting soon. Newcomers are made to feel very welcome, and everyone’s contribution is very much appreciated.

If you would like to contact the FSA, please email  or pop into the school office where a message can be passed on for you.

There are various ways you can raise additional funds for the school through the FSA. Please see below for information on three of our ongoing fundraising initiatives:

2nd Go Preloved Uniform

The FSA now stocks a wide range of preloved second hand uniform.  Regular sales are held either on the school playground or in the Parish Hall, and will be advertised through ParentMail and via the school noticeboard.  If you have any uniform that you no longer need, please consider donating it to ‘2nd Go’, as it helps to raise additional funds for the FSA.

The Giving Machine

If you shop online, be it food shopping, electrical goods, holidays, car hire, hotels, flights, Ebay, Amazon, Argos, clothes, toys etc you could create additional funds for the FSA. It is easy to register, and all you have to remember is to shop online via The Giving Machine. You won’t pay any extra for your purchases, we simply receive a commission payment for your transaction.

Please click HERE to visit our fundraising page where you will be able to register and find out more.  The ‘Shop and Give Reminder’ can also be downloaded from the website.

STAMPtastic

The FSA is working in partnership with STAMPtastic who will donate 30% cashback from every order placed using our unique code PO211DJ.  Year on year parents and carers spend time stamping our child’s name in their school clothes, PE kit, cubs/beavers/scouts/girl guides/rainbows uniform, ballet/gym/cheerleading kit … the list goes on and on.  The STAMPtastic stamp and ink offer excellent value for money and are longlasting.  Please visit www.stamptastic.co.uk for more information or to place an order.  Be sure to use our unique code when placing your order PO211DJ

Funds from the FSA have contributed to an outside canopy close to the Bible Garden, a new school gate and more recently ICT improvements around the school. The children also receive special treats, paid for by the FSA; these have included school discos, an author visit during Book Week, ice creams, class christmas gifts and a book bag for every child joining St Mary’s in Early Years.
