A small group of children in UKS2 took part in the World Day of Prayer, on 1st March, at St Anthony’s church in Rose Green . We were privileged to be part of this prayer service, prepared by an ecumenical group of Christian women from Palestine, the land in which Jesus was born, ministered and died, where Christian faith began and is rooted.
Our group of pupils signed and used liturgical movement to a reflection based on the hymn ‘Put peace into each other’s hands and like a treasure hold it.’
The children’s simple but beautiful contribution of prayerful signing and movement supported the congregation in their reflection.
